Niagara County Clerk Joseph A. Jastrzemski today invited the public to attend this Sunday s Purple Heart ceremony at 1 p.m. at the Niagara County Courthouse in Lockport, where more than 109 individuals will be added to the county s Purple Heart Book.
The new granite memorial will feature the etched names of 468 Purple Heart recipients from Niagara County, according to County Clerk Joseph A. Jastrzemski.
Niagara County Clerk Joseph A. Jastrzemski said Niagara County will once again honor Purple Heart veterans by adding their name to county s Book of Honor at a ceremony to be held Sunday, Aug. 6. Jastrzemski said any Purple Heart veterans (or their family members) who are not currently in the book need to come forward by May 1 to be included in this year s ceremony.
