We decided to take a look at all of the Huskies’ recruiting hauls over the past 19 years. It’s interesting to see how high (or low) some were rated, and how they ended up respective to their ranking, via success individually, in the NCAA tournament and/or their post-UConn careers.
glimpse of a shot i can give them something, say hey, look at my skill set and my talent. and there are thousands of players out there like jonathan mandeldove. if you thought the odds of becoming a professional football player are low, the odds for basketball are even lower. in 2013, out of about 18,000 college basketball players only 46 of them were drafted to the nba. i can go over and do it again, it would be certain things that i would buckle down more on so that that dream of maybe a shot at the nba would have been greater than what it is right now. i knew what to do with. what i needed was information i could trust on how to take care of me and my baby. luckily, unitedhealthcare has a simple program that helps moms stay on track with their doctors and get the right care and guidance-before and after the baby is born. simple is good right now.
was under the assumption that i can actually play in the nba. jonathan mandeldub was a top recruited player out of hargrave in 2006. the jabari mcghee of his day. when i was getting recruited to the university of skon c connecticut, i was like, yes, i m almost there. mandeldove, at the free-throw line. that was it, i m in the nba, that was a wrap. it was different when i got there. i saw that not only was i good but there were ten other guys that were really good and really talented, just like i was. outstanding first half for robinson, who s got 14 points. the uconn huskies are an impressive team. when jonathan arrived there, they had won two ncaa championships and came close to winning a third during jonathan s junior year. with that kind of pressure jonathan s academics took a back seat to basketball. and when his gpa dropped below a 2.0, he was declared ineligible to play his senior year. i was depressed.
