When multiple headstones in the town’s Village Cemetery were toppled or damaged through vandalism, the Vermont Old Cemetery Association responded to help restore the historic burial site off Morgan Street. On Monday, the Bennington Select Board approved a request to recognize and thank the nonprofit organization’s physical and technical assistance with a donation from the town.
