SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – A jury trial has been scheduled for next Monday for a Sheboygan man charged with felony sex assault charges. Wayne Roeker was arrested after police were called to the home on Pershing Avenue last June.
The victim told investigators she’d been sleeping when Roeker came home after a night of drinking, got on top of her, and assaulted her. The child, who was younger than 13, said the assaults only stopped after she “waited them out.”
Roeker is facing more than 60 years in prison if he’s found guilty. ); } return false;

SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – A Sheboygan man will appear in court next week for a plea hearing on child pornography charges. Darryl Shumate was arrested in November after Sheboygan Police got a tip from Facebook Cybertips about two people exchanging child pornography.
Detectives went to a home on North 11th Street, seized a smart phone, computer equipment, and digital storage devices. Police investigators found child pornography on the drives, and Shumate admitted to downloading the images.
Shumate is facing 25 years in prison on each of the eight felony charges. A plea hearing is set for next Tuesday, with a jury trial scheduled for the following week.
