ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday launched production of electric motorcycles in the country and said the government was revising master plans of cities of the country to preserve green areas and provide better civic amenities to people.
“The launch of the electric motorcycle is a futuristic step as the government’s electric vehicle (EV) policy defines a direction for the future. Introduction of electric motorcycles is part of the government’s five-year Pakistan Electric Vehicles Policy 2020-2025, approved last year,” the prime minister said while addressing the launching ceremony of the production of electric motorcycles.

Pakistani company, Jolta Electric, manufactured the E-bike.
E-bike is energy efficient and can be charged overnight with other features such as no clutch and gear and low maintenance.
Different specifications of the E-bike can cover a distance after full charge from 60 to 100 kilometres.

In a ceremony, the prime minister praised the initiative, saying that his government will introduce measures to ensure Pakistan generated wealth.

ISLAMABAD Pakistan: With a focus on an eco-friendly environment, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday launched Pakistan’s first locally manufactured electric motorbike (E-Bike).
While addressing the ceremony in connection with the launch of Pakistan’s first environment-friendly electric bike in Islamabad on Thursday, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that our electric vehicle policy is part of the government’s Clean and Green Initiative.
Terming the manufacturing of electric bikes a futuristic and positive step, he said that we have to manufacture electric buses and cars in order to address the issue of pollution in big cities where the pollution level has reached dangerous levels.
