Sir I would like to thank the editor of Life for the recent article and, indeed, the cover of the magazine (‘Motherhood Denied: the agony of the women who can’t be mothers’, by Niamh Jimenez, October 15).
Sir Ireland has lost one of her daughters, and so begins the predictable posthumous outpouring of love and adoration the classic Irish wake, better late than never, right?
