Annual Memorial Day parade and pageant at Fort Michilimackinac postponed for 2021 Cheboygan Daily Tribune MACKINAW CITY The Village of Mackinaw City made the announcement earlier this week the annual Memorial Day parade through downtown and the annual pageant at Fort Michilimackinac have been postponed for another year. After much consideration, we have determined in the best interest of the health and welfare of all participants that we must postpone our Memorial Weekend parade for 2021, said John Lemanski, parade co-chair. This will be the second year in a row that we have not had the parade. The parade was originally scheduled to be on May 29 and it has been a yearly event in Mackinaw City for more than 50 years.
