Theatre performances returned to Boyertown High Schoolâs stage for the production of âMamma Mia!â June 29 to July 8.
The cast featured 33 students in grades 9-12 and two alumni who returned to perform due to losing the show last year during the pandemic. An on-stage orchestra consisted of community members, teachers and students, led by Christopher Cinquini.Â
âMamma Mia was chosen three years ago because we knew our audience would love the music of ABBA. We thought the music would get everyone up on their feet and singing along,â said directors John Hazel and Jeffrey Brunner. âThatâs exactly the response we received. People flocked to the show because they are ready to start to feel normal again. This musical makes you feeling happy, and we think it was a great way to bring back musicals to Boyertown.â
