Suspected human remains found in Gumboro last week were located in the same area a missing man was last seen 10 years earlier.
Police confirmed the discovery Jan. 22 after maintaining a weeklong presence on R Farm Lane. The remains have been turned over to the Division of Forensic Science for identification and to determine manner of death.
Police have yet to announce any link in the cases.
John Douglas Wisniewski Sr., then 45, was last seen at his home on R Farm Lane at about 1 a.m. Jan. 24, 2011, according to a Delaware State Police press release at the time. He is still listed as missing in the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System. ....
