by moving into the cloud. watched the communicators monday night at 8:00 eastern on c-span two. this year, c-span is touring cities across the country exploring american history. next, a look at our recent visit to nashville, tennessee. you are watching american, all weekend, every weekend on cspan3. the civil rights room is a sacred space that houses nashville s role after the brown decision the year after king s assassination. the purpose of this space is to engage our community and highlight the pivotal role nashville played in crafting this path towards dismantling segregated institutions. when you walk in this space, you something sacred took place in the spot we are standing. it gives the narrative and puts nashville into this longer context of civil rights. i think nashville affairs differently than other cities in the south. during the 1960 s, nashville had no loss of life during the sit-ins, during school desegregation, or protests. i think nashville s story is
operation chokepoint. if the administration does not like your business, it may be disrupted. we will keep you up on the news as it comes from back catastrophic plane crash. here we go. let s get right at it. a crash. 150 passengers. early reports suggest a distress call. the airline cannot confirm any such distress call. that is important. the plane started a fairly rapid descent. dropped off radar screens and crashed about 15 minutes after takeoff. rescue crews try to reach the crash site. very difficult terrain. they say that there are no survivors. two babies and a class of schoolchildren were among the passengers. at this time, a cause is not known. the plane and a bus 320. it had been serviced and inspected for safety just yesterday. tom sullivan is with us for the hour. i want to focus on the distress call or the absence thereof. there was some sort of purely catastrophic event. the pilot could not make a distress call. it is very troubling. it is the mystery now.
i think there is more we should be throwing down here as long as we re talking about newtown. professional experience has taught me that the three most important symptoms are paranoia, hopelessness, and masculine identification with destruction. there s a a reason why heterosexual males are the overwhelming majority of people carrying out mass killings. if we completely limit our consideration just as it is with guns, the idea of psychiatric illness we re recognizing some of the quality. ly also add that while medications are very effective for paranoia, we re also dealing with a population that beyond those who fall in to the cracks, many and perhaps most mass killers, because it s not an impulsive decision, it s a decision which one deliberates and becomes determined. once they become determined they ll do it. they crawl in to the cracks. they keep themselves from being appreciated for the risk they represent to others. the people that we ve heard about today did not have t
