Chair of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova has met with Speaker of the Parliament (Jogorku Kenesh) of Kyrgyzstan Nurlanbek Shakiev on the sidelines of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly meeting in Bishkek, BelTA reports.
The CIS parliamentarism has deep roots and a long history, Chair of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova said at the international conference dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. The event is taking place on the sidelines of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly meeting in Bishkek.
Natalya Kochanova, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, and Valentina Matviyenko, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, held a meeting on the sidelines of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly in Bishkek on 16 November.
"We really became good friends. We have built good and friendly relations at the parliamentary level and the state level. There are good relations between our presidents who genuinely care of their peoples, their countries. This is worth a lot," Natalya Kochanova said.
