i m not going to giving it up. this is the cbs evening news with scott pelley. pelley: in nation divided over the president s travel ban, the latest opponents include more than 800 u.s. diplomats. in a draft of a letter to the state department today, they say that the ban stands in opposition to the core american and constitutional values that we as federal employees took an oath to uphold. and they say it will not make america safer. the ban stops all refugees from entering america for at least 120 days and bars travel from seven predominantly muslim countries. the democrat temporarily running the justice department took a stand against the president s order and was fired by mr. trump last night. here s major garrett at the white house. reporter: president trump fired acting attorney general sally yates, a career prosecutor and holdover from the obama administration, for refusing to defend the immigration executive order. the justice department s office of legal counse
