i will say real quick, i ve talked to several republicans who insist that there are 60 to 70 who will just keep voting for kevin mccarthy until and unless he pulls himself out. look, at this point there has to be some kind of dark horse candidate. it could literally be anyone. listening to chip roy, it almost sounded like what he was saying was they need to prove to jim jordan that jim jordan can win. they might have to do that. jordan is not going to stick his neck out there if he can t get to 18. i think at the moment that s not entirely clear. he wouldn t be the first politician to go to support is and say prove it to me you can get to the support and i ll be ready to go. in the words of omar, if you come for the king, you best not miss. that s true knot only of just jim jordan but also scalise. nobody wants to go at mccarthy. even though he s not that powerful of a figure still the most powerful as of
