Ranchi: As the Covid-19 crisis deepens in Jharkhand and the clamour for beds, oxygen and medicines grows with each passing day with many patients even losing their lives as a result of the shortage in infrastructural facilities the law-enforcement agencies have sought a quota in beds and have urged the government to install or earmark beds for lawyers and the cops.
The Jharkhand high court on Thursday asked the state government to look into the possibility of creating a 30-bed hospital for advocates at the high court premises.
The direction was given by Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan in pursuant to a petition filed by the Advocates Association of Jharkhand high court seeking an exclusive medical care arrangement for its members.
