Plano students win top honors in all-girls computer programming competition Three Plano students will receive paid internships as a result of their first-place finish. The computer programming competition and workshop designed to introduce more girls to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. The all-girls programming contest and workshop featured students in grades six through 12 and included more than 300 students and teachers from a total of 47 middle schools and high schools from across the region. The Feb. 13 virtual competition was presented by the Dallas Fort Worth Computer Science Teachers Association.
