The Fairfield Lady Lions staked their claim to first place in Division II of the Southern Hills Athletic Conference Thursday night by going on the road and defeating Highland County counterpart, Whiteoak in four sets.
After a disappointing first loss of the 2023 season last week to Wilmington, the McClain girls varsity volleyball team rebounded quite well Monday night (Aug. 28) by sweeping visiting Fairfield, winning by scores of 25-9, 25-19 and 25-13.
