Off to a perfect start in his four-year-old campaign, O'Brien Award-winning trotter Ghostly Casper earned his second straight victory in the Canadian Sired Graduate Series with a 1:53.4 score during an action-packed Friday night at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Jason Ryan and Distant Lover paced the fastest mile of the Prospect Series for freshman pacing fillies on the Tuesday (Aug. 22) evening card at Georgian Downs, winning her $8,700 split in 1:57.2.
In addition to one condition class at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Thursday (Aug. 17), the evening card was taken over by freshman trotters and pacers, each competing for a $17,000 purse in their respective classes, and by the Pop Up Claiming Series as part of the undercard.
Momentarily solidified her spot atop the Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots standings for three-year-old pacing fillies heading into the Semi-Finals with a victory in the fifth and final preliminary leg on Friday night (Sept. 9) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
