response. stop the epidemic at the source. i cannot imagine there is a partisan issue related to ebola. the president has been two steps behind and asleep at the wheel. it shows us how incompetent the man really is. it s not a democrat response or a republican response. i shook hands with, hugged and kissed, not the doctors, but a couple of the nurses. this is a human response. good to have you with us tonight, pokes. thanks for watching. we start with breaking news. president obama has just signed an executive order on ebola. the order authorizes national guard troops to travel to liberia to set up 17 treatment centers. 565 troops are already in that country. a total of 4,000 troops are expected to travel to africa to fight ebola. just a few moments ago, in a few moments coming up, the president will meet with congressional leaders at the white house and they re expected to discuss how quickly new ebola s.w.a.t. teams can be dispatched to deal with the case
health officials still don t know exactly how two health care workers contracted ebola. was it a break in protocol with their safety gear? did they have the proper gear? is the protocol the correct protocol? 75 other health care workers are being monitored. we are preparing contingen contingencies for more and that is a very real possibility. you can imagine the anxiety of the families of these 77 people. we rallied together and decided we needed to move quickly like we did sunday morning to make sure two things happen. one that effective cleaning was done as soon as possible and, two, neighbors and the citizens were communicated. nurses who worked in this hospital are telling their union that they were not trained to deal with ebola patients. they point out serious lapses in safety in dealing with duncan. so what is most important now is for the cdc to get the facts. which is what it is doing in dallas. however, criticism is mounting from those like the nurses union
