Ambulance Contract
(Ellsworth) – Ellsworth residents could find themselves without ambulance service depending on how negotiations between the city and the only private emergency ambulance service in the area work out.  Northern Light Transport is asking the City of Ellsworth to pay a per capita fee like many of the surrounding communities.  The Ellsworth American reports city officials are balking at adding the contract to the budget.  The city currently houses the ambulances and crew at the fire station, but that will change next month when the ambulance service relocates to a private building.
 
 
(Corinna) – Firefighters from six departments rushed to Corinna last night as a sawmill caught fire.  WVII-TV reports damage to Yoder’s Custom Sawing is extensive in the production area of the mill.  The blaze broke out around 7-thirty last night.  One firefighter suffered minor injuries.  ....
