Maharashtra Crisis: The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear on July 11 the plea of Shiv Sena chief whip Sunil Prabhu seeking suspension from assembly of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and 15 rebel MLAs.
The Maharashtra Governor could not have called for a floor test when petitions relating to disqualification of certain MLAs are pending before the Supreme Court, the Shiv Sena has told the apex court.
The Supreme Court on Thursday directed the former union minister Sharad Yadav to vacate the official bungalow allotted to him as a Member of Parliament in Lutyens Delhi till May 31, 2022.
