about to go back into their hoals after a dangerous threat. this morning the monticello fire department responded to a gas leak. homes and nearly 30 businesses were evacuated. monticello police department says people who live north and west of the leak area may smell natural gas or the odor of rotten eggs. that s while crews continue to fix the issue. they say it s not harmful or hazardous. were told to go to the community building while crews worked to solve the problem. children will be bussed around the gas hazard area and in about an hour, neighbors will be allowed to return to their homes. students at the johnson academy had a scare. this morning the cedar rapids police department says it was secured as a precaution while investigators handled the situation at a home when officers got there, they say they thought they saw a man waving a dwun. it was an air pistol. the situation may have been a custody issue. new information today on a trial we re following out of ben
