A U.S. Army soldier who died in a non-combat vehicle accident in Kuwait on Monday has now been identified.
Staff Sgt. Anthony Bermudez, 28, from Dallas, Texas, died in the vehicle accident during a routine troop movement near Camp Buehring, Kuwait, according to an Army statement provided to American Military News.
Bermudez was assigned to Area Support Group – Kuwait, along with two other soldiers who were injured in the accident.
One soldier was transported to Al Jahra Hospital in Kuwait, and later transported to U.S. Military Hospital-Kuwait where they remain in stable condition. The second injured soldier, who was driving the vehicle, was transported to U.S. Military Hospital-Kuwait with “non-serious injuries,” and released on Tuesday.
