Me about it, i always dismissed it. But this was an opportunity through an appointment, not election. So you get appointed, then you do your job, then you can seek election. So in 1969, i ran for the City Council Post that i had by appointment. But on the brochure, i couldnt say reelect norm because i hadnt been elected in the first place, so we used the phrase retain norm on the council. How supportive was the Japanese American Community to your campaign . Very. I had great support from within the community. At that point it was probably maybe 2 of the population, 3 .
