Sometimes it’s the lingering scent of grilled meat or fish that draws Earl; other nights, it’s a certain combination of seeds and nuts served up in a hanging bird feeder that entices.
Friends report concocting cold-weather favorites, like wild rice soup, lasagna, scalloped potatoes with ham, cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting, chicken/pheasant pot pie and beef stew.
Trust me, I’m GRATEFUL and envious of everyone who can and does churn out incredible creations, whether useful, artistic or both. But that talent is simply not in my toolbox.
