Even though its a Larger Organization that helps youth across this city, im speaking from my very humble perspective from the corner of the city in the haight. Item im from a tiny space. Educator at lyric. Before that i was a very shy and quiet kid and by becoming interning and lyric i became to learn to advocate for myself and my family. Now the internships that we have at lyric are for high school students. I want to make it more accessible for youth 1824 because i am a leader in my community and i want to be able to expand that and give those other resources to you that comment on there that get kicked out of homes because they dont conform with their identity or sexual orientation. We have a 35yearold organization in the city providing programs and recreation and Leadership Development programs to low income children and their families. Mostly in the mission district. I am also a mother of there e girls in San Francisco schools. The oldest of which is graduating from the high school. Im here to support the recommends of the children Funding Community coalition and wanted to zero in on 3 specifically that are important for jamestown. No. 1 is to increase the fund.
