While initially considering former Southampton and Luton boss Nathan Jones, Millwall has ultimately chosen Edwards to take charge of the team for their upcoming match against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday. Edwards has enlisted Andy Myers as his assistant, and Adam Barrett, who previously held the role of caretaker manager following Rowett s departure, along with coach Andy Marshall, will continue as part of the backroom staff.
Millwall have confirmed that they have mutually agreed to part company with manager Gary Rowett.The 49-year-old departs with the Championship side 15th in England's second tier and three points adrift from the play-off places.
