Two landmines exploded in Kandahar province one in Panjwai and the other in Maiwand district killing seven civilians and wounding three others.
A landmine blast, remote-controlled, in the town of Sardawra in the northern province of Kunduz, killed two people, including a child, and injured 14 others, most of them children.
The blast in the city of Kunduz occurred just hours after the Eid prayers. ....

Kabul, May 6 (EFE).- Unknown gunmen shot dead a government media officer and former Afghan TV presenter in southern Kandahar province on Thursday, officials said.
The gunmen opened fire at Nemat Rawan, who was working as public affairs director at the finance ministry, around 10:30 am when he was traveling in his car.
He died on the spot, police spokesperson Jamal Barakzai told EFE.
Rawan worked as an anchor with private-run Tolo News for years.
He resigned a few weeks ago to take up the public affairs assignment with the finance ministry. ....
