Mass Diksha Event: 23 to embrace monkhood at mass diksha event today Surat | Surat News

As many as 23 people will renounce the world and become Jain monks at a mass diksha event in Surat. The event will take place in presence of Yashovijay Suriswarji and Padma Vibhushan Ratnasundar Surishwarji along with various monks and followers. Among those who shall be taking diksha include couples Prabhulal Vora (57) and his wife Varsha (56) from Vesu and Satish Shah (71) and his wife Amita (65) from Ahmedabad. Two sisters Nishra Mehta (24) and her sister Kriya (20) from Vadgam, Banaskantha, are among those who will become monks. Vimla Mehta (72) and her granddaughter Jaini (23) from Pal area of the city, too, will be taking diksha.
