The suspect vehicle then traveled into Johnson County. At that time the Patrol terminated the pursuit. Then at 1:59 a.m., Pettis County Deputies located the vehicle entering Pettis County, west of La Monte. Deputies attempted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle, which fled from Deputies. As the pursuit entered La Monte, Deputies were able to deploy stop sticks, which flatted three of the suspect s tires. Deputies pursued the vehicle east on Highway 50 into the Sedalia city limits. Pettis County Deputies in the meantime requested assistance from the Sedalia Police Department. Police shut down intersections on Broadway to prevent innocent motorists from being harmed.

Ogdensburg mayor charged with harassment for allegedly pushing now-retired fire captain

OGDENSBURG — Mayor Jeffrey M. Skelly has formally been charged with harassment in connection with an incident where he allegedly pushed a former city fire captain to the ground outside City Hall last year. Mayor Skelly, 61, was charged by state police Wednesday with second-degree harassment, state police Troop B Public Information Officer Jennifer Fleishman confirmed Thursday. He was issued a summons returnable to Fowler Town Court on March 16. Mayor Skelly said Thursday that he plans to fight the charge. “It’s not true and I’m going to fight it,” Mayor Skelly said. According to a complaint filed Dec. 29 of last year in City Court, Mayor Skelly is alleged to have physically harassed a person outside City Hall on Dec. 9, 2020. It was later confirmed the person allegedly pushed by the mayor was now-retired Fire Capt. Gerald H. Mack. The incident was also reportedly caught on camera.

Less than three weeks later, our union signed a contract that promised not only to never replace FF Beauchamp, but also agreed to sacrifice the next three vacant positions, via attrition. For our Union, the agreement represented a first-of-its-kind, contractually agreed upon concession of over 14% of union workforce. While, some of city leadership has lambasted our union for,
