Swampscott lands $80K grant for town pier s rehabilitation Wicked Local Swampscott landed an $80,000 grant from the Massachusetts Seaport Economic Council to fund initial design and engineering for the rehabilitation and redevelopment of the Swampscott Pier at Fisherman s Beach.  The Swampscott Harbor and Waterfront Plan (also financed with a 2016 grant from the council) identifies the rehabilitation of the town pier as an urgent and vital coastal-resilience and economic-development project.
