he is charged with six crimes related to a string of armed robberies. the 27-year-old arrested august 19th after somebody recognized him as shane ross based on those security camera images i told you about. council member ross was not in court but he said his son was battling addiction. attorney chestnut has been hired to represent shane. he expects to file a motion for reduced bail next week. we court we re going to reserve requests about bail at this time until we ve had a chance to review this and other matters in existence. craig: back here live near the regional justice court. shane ross s bail is currently $60,000. and through their attorney the family says they do want a lower bail amount so they can afford the bail but also a number that is acceptable to the district attorney and to the court. and so that way shane ross can enters some type of addiction treatment. a preliminary hearing in this case has been scheduled for october 5th. before that date, the attorney
