Tributes for Accrington primary school headteacher Jack, who loved football and playing piano
TRIBUTES have flooded in for retired teacher Jack Cavannagh of Accrington, who passed away on February 20 at the age of 85.
Jack was a devoted husband to the late Olive, a loving father to Lance, father-in-law to Sarah and a cherished grandfather to Laura and James.
He was also a dear brother to Ian and Irene and a good friend to many, especially Marguerite.
Born and bred in Accrington, Jack was a talented drawer who started his working life as a draughtsman.
However, he moved into teaching in the 1960s, and never looked back. ....
