This past weekend was a busy one for Bahamian athletes competing at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships on the campus of Colorado State University in Pueblo, Colorado. As they have been doing all season, Bahamian collegiate track and field athletes continued to put on a show on the indoor athletics circuit this past weekend. Bahamian athletes are gearing up for their respective conference championships.
Putting on some impressive performances in her events over the weekend was Washington State University (WSU) Cougars’ junior Charisma Taylor. She posted a school-best and meet record in the 60 meters (m) hurdles and posted another meet record in the triple jump. She won both events at the Texas Tech Matador Qualifier that was held at the Texas Tech Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, Texas, on Friday.
