        Residents of Iwerekun, Solu Orumija, Awofin and Odusina have written to the member representing Ibeju - Lekki Federal Constituency, Lagos State, Adebayo Balogun over what they described as plans to whip out their villages by the "whimsical realignment of the proposed coastal road site".

Take-It-Back Movement Joins Lagos Communities To Protest Against Imminent Demolition By Tinubu Government

Residents of Iwerekun, Solu Orunmija and other communities in Lagos State and the Take-It-Back Movement on Saturday staged a protest over a plan to demolish their properties for the proposed Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project. The protesting residents lamented that their properties had been marked for demolition and urged the Nigerian government to shelve the plan.

Lagos Communities Protest Against Rerouting 700km Coastal Road Into Their Land, Demand Immediate Reversal To Old Plan

The residents of Iwerekun, Solu-Orumija, Awofin and Odusina villages in Lagos State have tackled President Bola Tinubu’s government over the proposed coastal road which will pass through their land.   The Nigerian Government has started a 700km Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway which will pass through several communities, leading to demolitions.   The Lagos State Government had disclosed its intention to start removing illegal building extensions and attachments across the state.
