Faith effort like let s get a deal on the border. now as these talks on capitol hill are drug out for several weeks now, they re probably going to continue to drag on, they re really raising the specter of do republicans just want to continue to talk about this. and i asked some republicans, you know, if you think this is such a winning issue for you guys, why would you want to hand the president a victory, say i ve addressed the border, you guys negotiated with me. and it s funny you get mixed answers. some say we have plenty of other issues to run on with this president, we can hand him this one. and others are saying, look, i m not going to vote for this because i want to continue to talk about it. putting politics ahead of efforts that could actually help humanitarian and other crisis there. let s talk about negotiations. congress is back next week. there s a pretty short window here before the government funding deadline approaches, so give us your best sense what this next week
