Here in southwest miami-dade county. that is the main campus of florida international university. we ve talked about this before. i went to that campus so i m extremely familiar with this area. more than 50,000 students at the university if there is one saving grace, it spring break. there were there is far fewer students this week than would have been normally but again this is the middle of the day. there is heavy traffic in this particular area. basically at all hours of the night because just west of here less than a mile from here is the there turnpike, a major interchange here in florida, you have cars heading and coming off the turnpike and heading toward downtown miami which is to the east and so many people say there was a lot of traffic and it was lunchtime, it was just before 2:00 an extended lunch time here in miami when this happened. and again, we ve heard from the florida highway patrol and they say there are at least a half dozen vehicles trapped underneath this ped
