Because i am absolutely convinced we have to continue to lead the world into the kind of future we want. We cant sit on the sidelines. We cant retreat. Were going have set backs. I know theres a big debate going on about our role in the world and we have some real unfortunate comment quinces still to deal with from prior decisions in the lake, but we cant have decayed our responsibility. How we define, how we execute it will be the stuff of political debate. But the world needs us. America matters to the world and yes the world matters to america for prosperity and security and democracy.
