At a Springfield vigil pushing federal voting rights legislation and honoring civil rights icon John Lewis, Missouri state House Minority Leader Crystal Quade warned that Missouri Republicans could restrict voting rights in the Show-Me state if Congress doesn’t act.
“For the past five years that I ve been in Jefferson City, legislators continue to tell us that voters don t know what they re talking about and so then what we see every year is legislation moving through the process to restrict access to voting. We have to stop it,” the Springfield Democrat told several dozen rallygoers at the First Unitarian Universalist Church on Saturday.
