Osun: Two die, others injured in auto accident - Daily Post Nigeria

Daily Post Nigeria Published Two persons have been confirmed dead in an auto accident involving two vehicles along Ile-Ife, Gbogan expressway, Osun State. The fatal accident, on Tuesday morning, involved a white Toyota Haice bus and a white and blue bus with registration number FKJ746DU and FKJ634XW respectively. It was gathered that 23 male adults were involved in the accident while two persons sustained injury and two others lost their lives. The spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Osun, Agnes Ogungbemi, said the accident occurred around 3 am on Tuesday. Ogungbemi disclosed that the corpses were deposited at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital (OAUTH) in Ife, morgue.

The Sector Commander, Mrs Kudirat Ibrahim, disclosed this on Tuesday in Osogbo, in a statement signed by the Public Enlightenment Officer, Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi. Ibrahim noted that the accident occurred due to a collision between two vehicles, which involved 23 people at about 3:00 a.m, with only two people injured while two others lost their lives. “A Toyota Camry, with registration number FKJ746DU, collided with a white Hiace bus with registration number FKJ634XW on Ife -Gbogan highway today at about 3:00 a.m.

Share No fewer than two persons lost their lives in a motor accident that occurred along Ile-Ife-Gbogan highway in Osun State on Tuesday. The State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mrs. Kudirat Ibrahim made this known through the command’s Public Enlightenment Officer, Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi in a statement issued in Osogbo. The sector commander who hinted that the accident occurred due to road traffic violation and overspeeding added that two other persons were severely injured in the accident which was recorded around 3.00 a.m of the day. Mrs Ibrahim explained that there was a collision between two vehicles which involved 23 persons.
