The state insurance commissioner has written to Insurance Companies once in may and again this week asking them to extend benefits for families who were still rebuilding beyond the twoyear period stated in their policy. But thats all he can do. The commissioner does not have the power to make Insurance Companies cover policies longer than the minimum set in state law.
