Crash east of Perth sends 5 to hospital; OPP investigating

The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a two-vehicle crash on Highway 7 east of Perth. On June 4, OPP officers, firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene at around 8:15 a.m. The collision involved a car and a pickup truck.

Death of Carleton Place man has sister searching for answers

The nearly four-month search for a missing Carleton Place man ended on May 12 when he was found deceased. Human remains pulled from the Mississippi River on the outskirts of town belonged to Mathew “Matt” McGrath. The grief and shock Melissa Rainville feels over losing her only sibling has been compounded by the “lack of answers” surrounding McGrath’s disappearance and death.
