Siem Reap, Battambang next to get public bus service

As public transport services have been planned for Sihanoukville and are likely to emerge in the near future, civil society organizations working to improve road safety have suggested that the government establish such services in other provinces, especially in Siem Reap where the population in town is growing.

Capital-S'ville express route accident-free on first 2 days

A spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works and Transport said nearly 15,000 vehicles had taken advantage of the second day of free use of the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway. Since its trial opening on October 1, no accidents had been recorded, despite the number of vehicles increasing by 62 per cent compared to the first day, when about 9,000 vehicles were logged.

Right-hand vehicle owners have until July 31 to register

The General Department of Customs and Excise has given right-hand drive vehicle owners the opportunity to register their vehicles up until July 31 with a tax payment deadline of 90 days from July 8. Any owners who do not fulfill these obligations will have their vehicles confiscated.
