Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero announced her administration will be giving more funding to the commission in charge of CHamoru language.

Chairwoman Hope Cristobal said standardizing written CHamoru through the updated orthography helps make it easier for language learners. It also will be a big help to CHamoru language teachers as they work to teach young students the language in written form, she said. ....
