Lakshya Sen, who defeated compatriot Sankar Muthusamy 21-10, 21-17 in two straight games in the quarterfinals to enter into semis in US Open Badminton 2023.

Kidambi went down against his Chinese counterpart 18-21, 17-21 in a match lasting only 34 minutes. The 29-year-old was out of sorts in the opening game as it took only 12 minutes for Zhao to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
The Indian men's team defeated Indonesia 3-0 in the final on Sunday to become only the sixth country to ever bag the Thomas Cup. India emerged victorious with Lakshya Sen, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, and Kidambi Srikanth winning their respective matches.
