The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said it has identified the person believed to be captured on video Tuesday allegedly hitting a shark with a hammer at a Florida beach and then seen dragging it to the ocean.
INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH â Members of the Indian Harbour Police Department will be moving into a new facility soon, a move 40 years in the making.
Groundbreaking for the new department headquarters took place on Saturday, Dec. 5 with mayor Scott Nicole giving opening remarks.
âToday marks of a new chapter in public safety for our community,â Mayor Nicole said. âMore than 40 years ago, the Indian Harbour Beach Police Department began operations in the city hall building on Cheyenne Court. The existing police department space is 5,600- square feet, which was adequate in the 70s, 80s, and probably a little bit of 90s when our population was much less than it is today, and our police department was a little smaller.â
