We start with a warning from the head of m15, who says there is no doubt that recent events in afghanistan, and the rise of the taliban, are likely to have emboldened so called lone wolf terrorists. Ken mccallum told bbc news that 31 late stage attack plots have been foiled in the uk in the last four years. The taliban has promised that afghanistan would never again be a base for terrorists after taking over the country last month.
