Kanu insisted that IPOB has never received any cash donation or financial assistance from Okorocha. There are reports that the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma had accused Okorocha of donating the huge sum to the seperatist group. However, Kanu, in a statement by IPOB’s spokesman, Emma Powerful stressed that both Uzodinma and Okorocha can not bankroll the group. A statement by Powerful reads: “The attention of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the global command of great leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been drawn to the ridiculous claims by the Supreme Court Administrator of Imo State, Hopeless Uzodima, that former Governor of the state and his fellow traitor, Rochas Okorocha gave N500 million to IPOB. ....
Okorocha described Uzodinma’s claim as false and laughable. Uzodinma had informed the APC’s appeal committee on the party’s registration and revalidation exercise that the lawmaker had refused to be registered as an APC member in Imo during the exercise. Reacting, the former Imo State governor said Uzodinma’s claim was more of propaganda. The lawmaker, who spoke through his Media Adviser, Sam Onwuemeodo, insisted that the revalidation exercise did not take place in the state. A statement by Onwuemeodo said: “I needed to revalidate his membership of APC and not to register as APC member. Governor Uzodimma has always delighted in propaganda that does not fly again. ....

Okorocha was arrested by the EFCC on Tuesday at his Unity House office at Garki, Abuja. @REALROCHAS/TWITTER But speaking through his media aide, Sam Onwuemeodo, Okorocha said since the anti-graft agency was only doing its job he would cooperate fully with it. “To us, the Commission is doing its job and should be given the needed co-operation. By Joseph Erunke ABUJA- IGBO Youths For Equity, a coalition of Igbo youth groups, has condemned Tuesday’s arrest of former Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC. The group which described the action as an affront to the Igbo nation, accused the anti-graft agency of allowing itself to be used as a tool for a political witch-hunt. A statement signed by the group’s spokesman, Captain Izundu Marcel, expressed concern over “attempts by some highly placed politicians from outside Igboland to frustrate the Igbo presidency agenda.” They warned that Igbo youths will not sit on the fence, while some interests continue to “single out our key leaders for humiliation”. ....
