around 2:30 early this morning when an irate angry inmate attacked correctional officer. the officer then got jumped by other inmates and everything just escalated from there. now nobody was tiebl break free from the jail but it was a dangerous situation. this is what people could see from outside of the building. keep in mind, this facility is located in the heart of downtown st. louis just blocks away from bush stadium where the st. louis cardinals play, and near other businesses, and city hall. there were 633 inmates in the jail when the attack happened. but the inmate uprising was contained to fourth floor of the building. the situation wasn t fully under control until hours later around 10 a.m. this morning. 65 inmates were transported to another jail and remaining inmates who participated in the revolt were moved to different areas within the facility. so the big question here, how were the inmates even able to do all of this? well city official say there s an issue wit
