Snowflake has today unveiled Polaris Catalog – a vendor-neutral, open catalogue implementation for Apache Iceberg. Apache Iceberg is the open standard of choice for implementing data lakehouses, data lakes, and other modern architectures.
Multiple leading enterprises with open query engines have already expressed support for Snowflake Polaris Catalog, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Confluent, Dremio, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Salesforce.
