Temperatures across the world in september were the warmest on record, breaking the previous high by a huge margin, according to the eu climate service. The heat is being driven by ongoing emissions of gases warming the atmosphere, as well as the Weather Event known as el nino. They say 2023 is now on track to be the warmest on record.
